Deadlock Hacks, Aimbots, Wallhacks, Scripts and Cheats

A Deadlock Cheat is any software, tool or method that enables players of the popular MOBA shooter to gain advantages in the game. - While different hacks and scripts are exist, unlimited souls and money, god mode and similar options are not possible. Also players should know that STEAM is extremely good at and experienced in banning people that use 3^rd party tools.

Overview

As deadlock is an online multiplayer game that uses servers to store vital data, the options that are available to players looking to gain an edge are slightly limited: However, automated aiming tools and wallhacks are certainly possible in the game as they are in all shooters. Scripts and macros are quite powerful as they are in all MOBAs. Additionally glitches may be used to break the game at times, bots may be used to automatically farm and there may be other minor client-side modifications that can give players minor advantages.

Aimbots

Automated aiming tools are by far the most powerful tools used in shooters: These automated aiming programs are able to extract the coordinates of enemies, creeps, jungle mobs and bosses from the game memory and create perfect aiming vectors, allowing players to accurately lock their aim to targets and either shoot them manually or automatically. - Aimbots are extremely powerful in deadlock, as they allow players to do maximum damage, farm minions, deny farm to enemy players and get more kills and therefore souls and XP.

While these tools are powerful, Steam is extremely experienced with banning people using this kind of software from their Counter Strike series. So we generally recommend not taking the risk.

Wallhacks

Extrasensory Perception software (ESP) works much in the same manner that auto aiming does. The only difference is that instead of aiming wallhack will simply display the position of enemies, PvE mobs, creeps and items either on screen using colored boxes and indicators or on the minimap (radar).

In deadlock specifically, seeing through walls is extremely useful to locate enemies, see through cosmic walls and other walls, find loot boxes and idols for buffs and increasing situational awareness. ESPs are generally a lot harder to detect and more fun to play with than other software at least in my personal experience.

Scripts and Bots

Automating actions is the main way that players use software to optimize their MOBA game play: Hereby players use macros, scripts and bots to automatically perform certain actions that are either triggered by a game state or a key press. For example this can be used to automatically dodge abilities, using heals, use active items, last hit creeps, deny soul orbs, use certain combos, dodge damage, parry melee attacks and more.

Software that automates simple action is usually called scripting and applications that are able to play the game fully autonomously to farm currencies and account levels are called bots.

Risks

As already pointed out, Steam is one of the most effective gaming companies when it comes to banning people using 3^rd party software and cheats: They have collected extensive know-how and advanced detection software in shooters, such as TF2 and CSGO, and also in MOBAS with DOTA2. So using any kind of 3^rd party software to gain any kind of advantage comes at a high risk ob getting one’s account banned. We generally recommend against using tools in online multiplayer games, as it is simply not much fun, but if you must do it, make sure to use legitimate software and use it with respect for the game and its players. Also try to support the games you love by spending money.

Disabling Visual Effects and other Mods

Another issue that some hero shooters and third-person MOBAs can have is visual overload. With all the abilities, ultimates, mobs, shots and players especially during team fights too many visual effects may affect a players ability to know exactly what is going on. And since Deadlock is an extremely competitive game disabling some of them is also a client modification that competitive players will love.

There are also many more tools and modifications that may be used in competitive play, such as various alerts and timers for jungle camps and middle boss, alerts for ultimates and item cooldowns, super jump scripts, walking through walls, various glitches and exploits, boosting and so on.

Overall, using any of these methods and programs will make people better at the game and able to climb the ranks, but professional players that know the game perfectly, able to motivate and coordinate the team, play for objectives and farming/building optimally will still easily win against someone simply relying on these cheap tricks to win and without the risk of getting banned.

Moral Issues

Using unfair methods to gain advantages in competitive multiplayer games is not a moral thing to do. This kind of behavior should get people banned from playing Deadlock and we have full trust in Steam that they will do as good a job as they always did in banning people breaking their terms of service.

However, as with all games that features shooter game play, cheating is inevitable. Many people will always seek to win by any means necessary. It is sadly human nature to do so. So while I personally will not be using any tools to play this awesome game, many people will. I am confident that as AI technology evolves, finding and banning people using 3^rd party software and hacks will become easier and easier to the point where only people using these tools extremely sparingly and carefully will be able to get past the detection systems.
